Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus has finally joined his teammates in camp.

The West Ham United midfielder joined on Tuesday morning.

The 23-year-old was the only player out of the 27 named by Chris Hughton for the Africa Cup of Nations yet to be in camp in Kumasi.

He was said to have picked up an injury in the Irons’ 2-0 win over Arsenal on 28 December, 2023

in the English Premier League.

The medical teams of both West Ham United and the Black Stars have been monitoring his condition.

On Monday, January 8, after the Black Stars’ 0-0 draw with Namibia at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Chris Hughton confirmed that Kudus would join the team on Tuesday.

He will then be on board as the team is scheduled to depart Ghana on Wednesday, January 10 for La Côte d’Ivoire.

The Black Stars will play Cape Verde in their first match at the tournament on Sunday, January 14.

They will later play Egypt and Mozambique in Group B.
